Infant CPR & Choking Workshop

Are you confident in how to respond if your baby starts choking or stops breathing? In just one session, you can gain the skills and confidence to respond quickly and effectively in a life-threatening emergency. Join us for our live, in-person Infant CPR & Choking Workshop at The Nest Health, an essential class for parents, grandparents, and caregivers.
Led by expert instructor Elisa Ruffolo, this workshop focuses specifically on the two most critical emergencies in infancy: CPR and choking.
In this workshop, you’ll learn:
- How to perform Infant CPR step-by-step.
- What to do if a baby is choking, including back blows and chest thrusts.
- How to recognize the signs of respiratory distress or cardiac arrest in infants
- Key prevention tips to reduce the risk of choking
This hands-on class provides plenty of opportunity to practice techniques with guidance from an experienced instructor, so you leave feeling empowered and ready to act in a real emergency.

Elisa Ruffolo brings decades of experience in first aid education and emergency response. About the Instructor:
Elisa Ruffolo is a certified Kinesiologist with extensive experience in fitness, health, and education. In 2002, she founded First Breath, a company that provides first aid, CPR/AED, water safety, and emergency response training across Southern Ontario. Elisa holds First Aid, CPR, and AED Instructor/Examiner certificates through the Lifesaving Society. Her practical, straightforward approach focuses on empowering individuals with the knowledge and confidence to handle emergencies. Elisa’s unique expertise ensures that participants leave her workshops prepared to act in critical situations.
