Cesarean Sections

Cesarean sections are one of the most common surgeries in the World.  It is major abdominal surgery involving an incision through skin, subcutaneous tissue, separation of muscle and incision through three layers of uterine muscle.  Many women are not provided with enough information about the post-surgical complications that can occur months, even years after a C-section.  While many scars heal relatively well, they all form some level of scar tissue, while some form adhesions.  Every body heals differently.  Sadly adhesions are often misdiagnosed because they do not appear on diagnostic tests such as x-rays.

Common Symptoms of Adhesions after C-Section

Non-diagnosable abdominal pain (sometimes years after your c-section)

Trouble standing up straight

Swollen/bloated abdomen

Pain during intercourse

Painful bowel movements

Secondary infertility

Chronic pelvic pain

Increased menstrual pain (since c-section)

Pain/tenderness at the location of your scar

Swelling after c-section

 C-section scar pain

What is Cesarean Scar Release Therapy?

The Dolphin Neurostim™ is an innovative technology used to quickly and effectively release cesarean scar tissue postpartum and decrease pain. This Therapy was featured in Today’s Parent Magazine.

The technique utilizes Microcurrent Point Stimulation (MPS) to apply brief and concentrated micro-current directly to the scar area. The micro-current relaxes and releases the thickened scar tissue and adhesions. Treatment can help accelerate the healing process, decrease pain and tightness sensation at the scar, and work to resolve the various symptoms many women experience after a c-section. This physical healing that occurs allows mamas to return/continue with lifting, walking, exercising, and taking care of baby, and themselves, with less pain and discomfort.
