Babysitter Training Course

Does your teen or tween want to care of younger children? Do they want to earn some extra money?  Then this is the perfect course for them to take.  This Babysitter training course is designed for youth aged 12+ (must be turning 12 by the end of the calendar year). Participants learn how to supervise younger siblings or other children safely and responsibly.

This is a live in-person 6-hour course is taught by our First Aid & CPR Instructor, Elisa Ruffolo.

• Babysitter’s Checklist
• Becoming a Successful Babysitter
• Development Characteristics for Babies, Toddlers, Preschoolers, and School-Aged Children
• Caring for Babies, Toddlers, Preschoolers and School Aged Children
• Holding babies, changing diapers, bottle and spoon feeding, preparing meals and snacks, sleeping, dressing, safe playtime
• The Behaviour and Misbehaviour of Children
• Handling Emergencies
• Caring for a Sick or Injured Child
• Injury Prevention and Basic First Aid (includes CPR for choking)

Each participant will receive a Student Reference Manual, a Certificate of Completion, and a Wallet Card.
